Paramount Pictures has unveiled the teaser trailer for “The Naked Gun,” a fresh comedy proudly described as “the single most important #NakedGun movie since the other Naked Gun movies.”

Liam Neeson takes the lead as Detective Frank Drebin, joined by Paul Walter Hauser as his partner, Ed. Kevin Durand steps into the role of the villain, while Pamela Anderson and Danny Huston feature prominently. The cast is rounded out with performances by CCH Pounder, Cody Rhodes, Liza Koshy, and Eddie Yu.

This new installment serves as a continuation of the beloved Leslie Nielsen-led “The Naked Gun” films from the late 1980s and early 1990s, which collectively grossed over $476 million at the global box office. Those films were themselves comical reimaginings of the short-lived series “Police Squad.”

In this sequel, Neeson and Hauser portray the sons of Nielsen and George Kennedy’s iconic characters, coincidentally sharing the same names as their predecessors.

Produced by Seth MacFarlane and Erica Huggins, the film is set to hit cinemas on August 1, 2025.
