Murray has quite a history with 4CA, having first worked at the station in 1991 doing the afternoon show. He was also the weekend breakfast announcer for about six years in the early 2000s while studying Law at James Cook University.

After working as a criminal and family lawyer for five years, he decided that law wasn’t for him – the audience was far too small in court! Murray loves connecting with locals and talking about the things that make life in the tropics tick. You’ll often hear about his Great Barrier Reef adventures with his son Max, and the variety of creatures that seem to visit his place from the local neighbourhood.

A true local, Murray is a well-known and colourful character. Perhaps you could describe him as a mix of both Reef and Rainforest. With his wicked sense of humour and cheeky approach, you never know what he might say next…
