Far North Police have charged ten teenagers with dozens of offences that allegedly happened in the Tablelands on Valentine’s Day.
Four of them were tracked down at Granite Creek after allegedly stealing a Toyota Hilux, with local officers joined by Polair and the dog squad to nab the alleged offenders.
Detective Inspector Jason Chetham says there’s been a spike in youth crime in the region, with another six young people also handing themselves in after allegedly breaking into multiple businesses.

All ten teenagers will face Mareeba Magistrates Court and Mareeba Children’s Court in the following months.
