A man has been rushed to hospital after a kayaking incident south of Cairns.
It’s believed the man was paddling at Behana Gorge around midday yesterday when he crashed into a tree.
SES and Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews worked for more than two hours to extricate the man from the difficult location.

He has been taken to Cairns Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition to with suspected spinal injuries.
