A man is facing explosives charges after an incident at Smithfield.
Around 8.15am yesterday, police were called to reports of what members of the public believed were the sound of gunshots, on Stanton Road.
Officers cordoned off a home, before a 38-year-old male resident was arrested.

It will be alleged the man set off ammunition within a cannister.
A search of the property was conducted, with police seizing gunpowder and an item alleged to be a home-made explosive.
The man was charged with one count of offence in relation to unauthorised and prohibited explosives.
He is expected to appear before Cairns Magistrates Court on February 3.
